School of Public Administration boasts strong scientific research strength. During the development of the school, its unique multi-disciplinary scientific research has been formed in the field of fundamental theory of public administration, local governance, social security, public human resources management, applied psychology and public information resources management. In the past five years (2006-2010), the school has conducted 120-odd scientific research projects including National Key Scientific and Technological Project in the 10th Five-year Plan, National High Technology Research and Development Program (Program “863”), National Basic Research Program (Program “973”), NSFC Project, National Social Science Found Project, Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Sciences Planning Project, Shaanxi Provincial Key Scientific Projects in 9th Five-year Plan and 10th Five-year Plan, Shaanxi Provincial Philosophy and Social Sciences Planning Project, Xi’an Municipal Social Sciences Planning Project, Shaanxi Provincial Soft Science Research Planning Project, and projects held by Education Department of Shaanxi Provincial Government and Xi’an Science and Technology Committee etc.. The school has published 200-odd key academic papers, authored 48 monographs and won 40-odd honors.
